The Natural Park of Tinença de Benifassà has an area of 4,965 hectares. It includes, among others, the municipalities of Bel, Ballestar, Boixar, Castell de Cabres, Coratxa, Fredes and La Pobla de Benifassà. A varied relief of peaks, hills and spectacular ravines make up a massif whose flora brings together species typical of humid climates, such as yew, beech, holly and black pine. On the northern slopes of the mountains, there is jungle-like foliage, the result of the coexistence of boxwood and ferns and juniper trees. Its great botanical value is complemented by the abundance of unique and endemic plants of these places.
